Lymphedema Therapy Courses We Offer
COMPLETE LYMPHEDEMA THERAPY CERTIFICATION COURSES Each manual lymph drainage MLD class participant will be trained in the four components of CDT and the management of lymphedema (see topics covered in class). Upon completion of this manual lymph drainage MLD course participants will be able to differentiate between a variety of peripheral edemas and understand the medical indications and contraindications of CDT. Furthermore the therapist will be able to establish a treatment plan for individuals with chronic extremity lymphedema and other conditions and perform the treatment accordingly.
UPPER EXTREMITY LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT CERTIFICATION COURSES Participants in the upper extremity lymphedema certification course will be trained in the four components of CDT and the management of lymphedema affecting the upper extremities. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to distinguish between lymphedema and a variety of other peripheral edemas and understand the medical indications and contraindications of CDT. Graduates will be able to establish a treatment plan for individuals affected by upper extremity lymphedema and perform the treatment accordingly.
MANAGEMENT SEMINARS This course serves as an introduction to the management of upper and lower extremity lymphedema (primary and secondary) and is focused on increasing the understanding of proper lymphedema treatment and management and the application of the techniques known as Manual Lymph Drainage MLD (Vodder Technique) and Complete Decongestive Therapy for lymphedema and other conditions.
ADVANCED AND REFRESHER COURSES These courses have been designed to further the education of Lymphedema Treatment Therapists. Currently we are offering the LANA® Exam Preparation Course, Wound Care Management Strategies for Patients with Lymphedema and Billing and Documentation for Patients with Lymphedema.
